Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s Degree:
- UR/EWS: Min 55% marks
- OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: Min 50% marks
- Final-year/awaiting results: Eligible provisionally; must complete Master’s with required % within 2 years (or 1 year for Ph.D.-only).
- Third Gender: Same relaxations as SC/ST/PwD; lowest cut-off applies.
- Ph.D. holders (Master’s completed before 19 Sept 1991): 5% relaxation (55% → 50%).
- 4-Year UG Degree:
- Min 75% marks (5% relaxation for reserved categories).
- Eligible for JRF & Ph.D. admission but not for Assistant Professor.
- Final-year UG students can apply provisionally; must meet requirements within 2 years (JRF) / 1 year (Ph.D.-only).
- Foreign / PG Diploma holders: Must get equivalence from UGC/AIU.
- Note: No documents required at application stage; eligibility will be verified later.

How To Apply NTA CSIR UGC NET December 2025 Form
- Visit the official website at https://csirnet.nta.ac.in.
- Click on the “CSIR UGC NET December 2025 Apply Online” link.
- Register by providing your details to create a login ID.
- Fill out the application form with your personal, educational, and professional details.
- Pay the application fee (Rs. 1150 for General/EWS, Rs. 600 for OBC-NCL, Rs. 325 for SC/ST/PwD) through Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking by October 25, 2025, 11:50 PM.
- Submit the form by October 24, 2025, 11:50 PM, and save the confirmation for future reference.
- Note: The correction window is open from October 27-29, 2025, until 11:50 PM. Contact NTA support via https://csirnet.nta.ac.in for assistance.
Mode of Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in bilingual i.e. Hindi and English

Pay Scale:
- JRF: ₹37,000/month for the first 2 years + ₹20,000 annual contingency grant.
- Upgrade to SRF: After 2 years, if registered for Ph.D. and recommended by an Expert Committee, stipend increases to ₹42,000/month from 3rd year onwards.
- If not upgraded/Ph.D. not registered: JRF continues at ₹37,000/month for 3rd year or may be terminated, based on Committee recommendation.
- Fellowship count: Limited, varies by subject and exam cycle.
